Week 12 - Spring flowers

This week the beautiful weather continued until the week-end. On Friday everyone in Carlotta's class took a plant to school to celebrate spring and they planted them in the garden.
We found a new car for me, but didn't get it this week, so we had to get along with one car this week. It's not so easy here where we live, you need the car almost everywhere you go. Waiting to get my new car!

Show jumping and car breakdown

This week the weather was lovely. We spent the sunny week-end at Sofia's show jumping competition. On Sunday she fell off the pony before the competition, but then she won it. She has quite a bruise behind and the riding jacket got scratched, but fortunately she didn't get badly hurt.
On Saturday my car broke down when we arrived to the show jumping place which is about 50 km from our house. I was lucky again, because we had almost arrived to San Nicola and when we stood there and tried to get a lift, one of the owners of our riding school happened to drive by and he took us there so we arrived on time. There was nothing to do with the car, I had to leave it there and get back on Monday when the wrecker came and took it to our car mechanic. My car has stopped quite a few times these last months for one reason or another and this time it was a costly repair, so we decided it was time to get rid of it and look for a new one for me.

Week 10 - Carnival

On Monday I still felt cold after the cold and rainy week-end. This week was sunny and nice. It was the end of the carnival period and on Tuesday Carlotta went to school dressed up as a fairy.

Week 9 - New lens

I got a new camera lens I had ordered from England. It took a while, but now it's here. It's used, but in a very good condition. It's a Sigma 50-150 with aperture 2,8 and I bought it to have a more luminous zoom lens. This is one of my first photos with the new lens. My first impression is good and its autofocus is faster than my Nikon 55-200.

In the end of the week Sofia had show jumping in Ninfa. The weather was horrible, but I will write more about it in my horse blog.

Week 8 - Greetings from Graz

Daniele came back from Austria and brought chocolate to everyone. He also brought a bottle of pumpkin seed oil, which is a specialty from Graz. Very good! I have used it in my salad.
He was very happy with his ski holiday. This was the first time he flew on his own and everything went well, although he had to change plane in Munich.

Week 7 - Illness

First Sofia had a fever for a couple of days, then it was Carlotta's turn. Luckily it wasn't a very aggressive virus and everyone was well on Saturday when we went to Terni. Daniele was on his ski holiday in Austria this week, lucky him!
