Week 12

The weather has been so lovely here lately. The night between Saturday and Sunday we put the clocks to summer time and  spring really is here. The girls have been doing their homework outside in the garden.

The apricot tree has lost its flowers and starts getting green instead.

Week 11

Week 11. More flowers. Last Saturday all of a sudden lots of apricot flowers had opened and were blooming. A lovely sign of spring in our garden!

Week 10

This week was the International Women's Day and here in Italy the yellow mimosa flower is a symbol for this day. Carlotta loves flowers and wanted to put some flowers in her hair while she was doing her homework.

Week 9

I'm behind schedule again with the 52 weeks photo project, but I won't give up. For week 9 I chose this one. This week it was Carlotta's turn to go pony riding after quite a long break with cold weather and lack of time. She is quite a cute rider, I think!
I'm still looking for the right riding school for her, since the one where me and Sofia go doesn't have small ponies, so now we tried a new one. It's not too far away from home and not too expensive either, so now I'm just waiting for Carlotta to tell me if she wants to start her riding lessons there. As you always have to pay a yearly member fee beside the lessons, I would like her to be sure about wanting to go there before I pay. She said the lesson was too short (It was a free lesson where they gave you the possibility to try before you decide, so it didn't last a full hour) and she didn't like the fact that she was alone without other children. The pony was nice and I think the instructor seemed quite nice, too, so let's see what we decide!

The nice photo frame is a freebie from Maybemej.

Eyes of March

This week's theme was Eyes of March. I have been working so much this week that my eyes have been really tired watching the computer screen for hours and hours a day. The weather has been so lovely here and spring really is in the air, so I have tried to get out at least a bit every day, either horse riding or on other days at least a moment out in the garden with the children. They also seem to enjoy it when I stay there with them. Their hobby horse got some apricot flowers as ornament. I find real horses eyes so beautiful, but this time I only caught the hobby horse's eyes.
This is what Sofia and all her horsey friends like to do when they don't ride real horses.
Flowers! Quite hard to imagine that it was snowing here just a few weeks ago!

This week the apricot tree was in full bloom. So beautiful!

And Carlotta made some flower soup.
Daniele played table tennis with his friends and dreamed about having a real ping pong table in the garden.

Be still

This week's theme at My 3 Boybarbarians is Be still. I have been working a lot this week and sitting behind the computer, so there has not been too much time for photos. Wednesday afternoon we didn't have to go to any hobbies and the weather was really nice so I went outside to watch the children play out in the garden. The sun was going down behind our apricot tree. Soon it will start to blossom.

After just half an hour I saw that it was full moon.

After all those hours a the computer it felt good just to be outside and enjoy our garden for a while.
