Week 3 - A rainy week

Last week-end the weather was good and we went riding both on Saturday and on Sunday, but then it started raining and week 3 was very rainy and quite cold too. In the photos it's me riding, Carlotta playing with the Nintendo and the curious horses wondering what she was doing, then the double rainbow that we saw one day and then rain, rain. I bought a new display for my computer - very nice! On Friday my friend came over with her girls and we had a nice evening eating pizza and the girls played with the wii. This week we also did a lot of home work, me included. My bigger children are very independent with their home work, but Sofia needs help in the subjects where she needs to study and remember lots of things, like history, art history, geography and sciences. Carlotta needs help and lots and lots of patience with all her home work. After a break with no work I got a lot of work, too and hope I will manage to do everything on time!

Bye Finland!

This Friday it was time to say goodbye to snowy Finland. We had a really nice time and Carlotta said she wanted to remain in Finland. Daniele went to Lovisa twice this week to see his friends. On Monday I took him there by car and he came back by bus. I took some photos of the beautiful snowy streets of the old town. Then he went there and slept over the last night before going to our dear friends' house where we slept the last night and then took the early flight back to Rome on Friday morning at 8.30.
This week me and Sofia went horse riding and it had been snowing a little bit so we could gallop in the snow, which was really fun. After that a warm sauna at home and life couldn't get better! We also went to the sledding slopes and walked on the ice before going back to Rome. And of course we did some shopping in the winter sales.

Week 1

As I so successfully finished my weekly posts of 2012, I will continue with the same project also this year. This year Simona decided to launch the project 7 photos a week.

 It shouldn't actually be any problem for me as I take som many photos, but I'm not sure if I will post 7 photos every week. Anyway, I will partecipate with at least one photo a week, as I did last year and I will try to post on time this year, although I'm not so sure if I'll succeed in that. While surfing among blogs I also find another inspiring post in this blog http://www.serendipityissweet.com/. She has beautiful photos and I think I will try to follow her Friday Photo Journal meme.

The first week of 2013 we enjoyed the Finnish winter.

We welcomed the new year, went horse riding, played with snow (first very wet snow, but then it got better), gave our traditional Christmas present to my parents, a photo calendar, went to my sister's house in the countryside, saw some good friends and on the 6th of January we went to the theatre with my parents to see a very amusing musical with music of Cole Porter.

Happy 2013

We came to Finland on New Year's Eve. We welcomed the new year at my brother's house eating good food, playing games, chatting and going out to see the fireworks. There was a lot of snow in Finland, but the temperature was above zero, so it was very wet.
