More from Tallinn

I love Tallinn, so it deserves another post here. So beautiful.
We went there by the ferry Tallink Silja Line from Helsinki. It took about two hours. Our hotel was quite near the port and Tallinn is a small town, so it doesn't take a long time to walk from there into the centre.

We had lunch at a soup restaurant where they served different kinds of soups and you could eat as much as you liked. They were very good and also the bread was delicious. After having taken our luggage to the hotel we went for a walk in the old town of Tallinn.

A coffee break in one of the lovely cafés of Tallinn.
When we were tired enough we went to our hotel and relaxed in the pools and the saunas. You could also have a drink standing inside the pool.
The next day we had time for another swim and a good breakfast in the hotel.
Then we went to the hairdresser at the hotel and were quite happy with the result. It costs much less than in Finland and she did a really good and accurate job.
The we went to a shopping centre where we had some time to shop. The girls both found something to buy, I didn't have time to watch so much for myself, so I didn't buy anything. The first day the weather was sunny and warm, now it was windy and variable with rain showers. We had to cover our newly styled hairs.
It was a very nice trip, I want to go back there next year again!

Week 34 - Tallinn

I'm quite a bit behind with my week photos. This one is from week 34 in August. This was the last week Sofia and Armando were in Finland. Daniele had left the week before, after the Helsinki marathon. Me, Armando and the girls spent a night in Tallinn. It had been a few years since I went there last time and it really was worth the visit. I think we have to go there every year form now on. It's so close to Finland and yet so different. I love it! The girls liked it, too and the choice of a hotel with spa and swimming pools was great. When our feet were tired after walking in the old town, we relaxed with swimming, iacuzzi and sauna in the hotel. The next day we went to the hair dresser's in the hotel, which was very good. Time for some shopping and then back to Finland.

Me and the girls at the Toompea hill, where you have a beautiful view over the old town.

First time in America - Chicago

We have been to Chicago! It was my first time in America. Armando ran the marathon there so that was a good excuse to take the whole happy family there. Here's a scrap booking layout from there. More photos will follow later on!
